Good morning!

We have some exciting AI news today: Anthropic’s Claude enables no-code app creation with Artifacts, and Google introduces Gemini CLI, a full-fledged AI agent for your terminal. Here's a look at six more standout developments:

1. Claude Now Lets You Build and Share AI Apps Without Writing Code

Anthropic has launched a new feature in the Claude app that lets users build, host, and share AI-powered apps without handling API keys or backend setup. Apps run on the user’s own Claude account, so creators pay nothing for others’ usage. Early use cases include AI games, tutoring tools, and writing assistants. Claude writes and debugs the code, and apps can be shared instantly with a link. The feature is now in beta for all Claude users.

2. Google Launches Open-Source Gemini CLI for Developers

Google has released Gemini CLI, a free and open-source AI agent that brings the power of Gemini 2.5 Pro directly into developers' terminals. It offers high usage limits, deep coding support, real-time web grounding, and seamless integration with Gemini Code Assist. With built-in tools and full customization, developers can now automate workflows, debug code, and generate content straight from the command line.

3. Ring Adds Gen AI Video Descriptions to Make Alerts Smarter

Ring has launched a new AI-powered feature called Video Descriptions, now in beta for Ring Home Premium users in the U.S. and Canada. The tool uses generative AI to turn motion events into clear, concise alerts like “A person is walking up the steps with a black dog,” helping users quickly understand what’s happening at home. More smart features, including anomaly detection and alert merging, are on the way.

4. WhatsApp Adds AI Summaries to Catch You Up on Missed Chats

WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that uses Meta AI to summarize unread private messages in bullet-point form, helping users quickly catch up on missed chats. The summaries are optional, off by default, and powered by Meta’s Private Processing tech, which keeps messages secure and hidden from Meta and third parties. The feature is launching in English in the US, with more regions and languages coming soon.

5. DeepMind Unveils AlphaGenome to Decode DNA With AI

DeepMind has introduced AlphaGenome, a powerful AI model that predicts how genetic mutations impact gene regulation across human DNA. It processes up to 1 million base pairs at once and offers high-resolution insights into complex molecular functions. Now available via API for research, AlphaGenome could accelerate breakthroughs in disease understanding, gene therapy, and synthetic biology by decoding how variants influence our genome.

6. New Dating App Sitch Blends Human Matchmaking with AI

Sitch is a new dating app that uses AI trained by a real matchmaker to suggest thoughtful, swipe-free matches. Users answer up to 50 detailed questions by text or voice, and the AI finds compatible partners based on deep profile analysis. After a match, the AI stays in the loop for feedback to improve future pairings. Sitch charges per match and is currently available in New York, with plans to expand.
