Google has launched Gemini Robotics On-Device, a powerful AI model that runs directly on robots without needing constant internet access. It enables fast, low-latency performance for complex tasks like folding clothes or assembling parts. Paired with a new SDK, developers can fine-tune the model with just 50 to 100 demos. The system adapts to different robot types and supports safe, real-world use with built-in safeguards and evaluation tools.

A U.S. judge ruled that Anthropic’s use of books to train its AI model Claude qualifies as fair use, marking a key legal win for the AI industry. However, the court also found that Anthropic’s storage of over 7 million pirated books violated copyright law. A trial in December will determine damages. This is the first major ruling on fair use and generative AI, with significant implications for OpenAI, Meta, and others facing similar lawsuits.

Berlin-based Synthflow AI has raised $20 million to expand its no-code voice AI platform, which helps enterprises build white-labeled, real-time voice agents. With over 1,000 customers and 45 million calls handled, the company focuses on low-latency performance and seamless CRM integration. Its bots are HIPAA and GDPR compliant and plug into 200+ tools like Salesforce and Twilio. Synthflow plans to open its first U.S. office and grow its R&D team.

HPE and NVIDIA have unveiled a full-stack AI factory solution to help enterprises scale AI adoption faster. The new offerings include HPE RTX PRO Servers with NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, the next-gen HPE Private Cloud AI, and over 70 AI-ready workloads. With built-in security, agentic AI tools, and turnkey infrastructure, the stack is designed to power industrial AI at scale. Customers can test the system at Equinix before committing.

Walmart is deploying a suite of AI tools to boost efficiency and support for its U.S. store associates. New features include AI-driven task management that cuts shift planning time by two-thirds, real-time translation in 44 languages, and a GenAI-powered assistant for on-the-job guidance. Augmented reality and RFID tech are also improving apparel inventory management. These upgrades are part of Walmart’s larger push to enhance frontline work through tech and training.

Samsung has launched its new Smart Monitor M9, featuring a 32-inch 4K QD-OLED display, AI-powered picture and sound optimization, and support for cloud gaming via Samsung Gaming Hub.
