1. Mistral unleashes Voxtral, an Apacheā2 licensed āspeech GPTā
Mistral AI has openāsourced two Voxtral models ā 24āÆB parameters for production and 3āÆB for edge ā plus a transcriptionāonly Mini that costs $0.001āÆperāÆminute via API. Beyond topātier ASR, Voxtral does ināaudio Q&A, summarization and functionācalling straight from voice, with automatic language detection across nine major tongues.
