Hey there,
We've got some massive AI news today.
OpenAI just signed one of the biggest cloud deals ever.

And a coding startup just hit a crazy valuation.
Let's get into it.
Built for Managers, Not Engineers
AI isn’t just for developers. The AI Report gives business leaders daily, practical insights you can apply to ops, sales, marketing, and strategy.
No tech jargon. No wasted time. Just actionable tools to help you lead smarter.
Start where it counts.

1. OpenAI Signs $300 Billion Oracle Cloud Deal
OpenAI just dropped a bombshell. They're buying $300 billion worth of compute power from Oracle over five years, starting in 2027. This might be the largest cloud contract in history. Oracle's stock jumped right after the news broke, and it makes sense. OpenAI's moving away from being Microsoft-exclusive and already started using Oracle's servers last summer. This deal is connected to the Stargate Project where OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle committed $500 billion for US data centers.

2. Publishers Launch RSL Protocol to Control AI Scraping
Major publishers like Reddit, Yahoo, Medium, and Quora just announced support for Really Simple Licensing (RSL). This new protocol lets websites set terms for how AI companies use their content. Built on RSS, it works across millions of sites and supports different licensing models like pay-per-crawl or subscription. Publishers add the terms to their robots.txt files so AI companies know exactly what's allowed. Here's the catch though. No AI company has agreed to follow RSL yet, but the creators think deals are coming soon.

3. Adobe Releases AI Agents for Business
Adobe's going all-in on AI agents. They just announced general availability of their Experience Platform Agent Orchestrator. The system includes ready-to-use agents like Audience Agent for creating marketing segments, Journey Agent for orchestrating customer campaigns, and Site Optimization Agent for managing websites. Over 70% of Adobe's platform customers are already using their AI Assistant. Big brands like Hershey, Lenovo, and Wegmans are testing these agents to automate their marketing workflows.

4. Anthropic's Claude Goes Down Briefly
Claude users got a surprise yesterday. Anthropic's AI assistant, APIs, and Console all went offline around 12:20 ET. The company fixed it quickly and service was back within minutes. Users on GitHub and Hacker News had some fun with it. One developer joked about having to use their brain again like a caveman from December 2024. Anthropic said they're monitoring the situation but didn't share what caused the outage.

5. Ted Cruz Introduces AI Sandbox Bill
Senator Ted Cruz just unveiled his SANDBOX Act. The bill would create a federal testing area for AI companies managed by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Companies could apply for two-year waivers from regulations that block their AI development. Cruz says it's not a free pass. Companies still follow the same laws but get room to experiment. The bill comes with Cruz's broader AI framework focused on beating China in the AI race. Some critics worry it could let unsafe AI products reach consumers.

6. Replit Hits $3 Billion Valuation
AI coding startup Replit just raised $250 million and nearly tripled its valuation to $3 billion. Their revenue exploded from $2.8 million to $150 million in less than a year. Prysm Capital led the round with Google's AI Futures Fund and Amex Ventures joining in. The company launched Agent 3, which can test and fix code automatically. Teams at Zillow, Duolingo, and Coinbase already use Replit to build apps. With 40 million users globally, they're making it possible for non-coders to create software just by describing what they want.
